- Adjective என்பது பெயர்ச்சொல்லை சிறப்பிக்கும் சொல்
- Noun and Pronouns சிறப்பித்து சொல்ல Adjective பயன்படுகிறது.
- Adjective மக்கள், இடங்கள் ,பொருட்கள் இவற்றை பற்றி விரிவாக சொல்ல உதவுகிறது.
Example:
(1) Good Boy (2) Beautiful Car (3) Bad Weather.
இதில் Boy, Car Weather என்பது Noun ஆகும். Good, Beautiful and Bad ஆகியவை Adjective ஆகும். அவை Noun பற்றி இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் விரிவாக சொல்கிறது. - (ie) Adjectives describe nouns and pronouns. They give you more information about
people, places, and things.
Types of Adjectives:
- சில Adjectives நிறங்களை பற்றி கூறுகிறது.(Some adjectives tell about the color of things.)
Example:
(1)a red carpet (2)a gray suit (3)a brown bear
(4)a white swan (5)an orange balloon (6)green peppers - சில Adjectives மனிதன் அல்லது பொருட்களின் size பற்றி கூறுகிறது. (Some adjectives tell about the size of people or things.)

(4)a large army (5)a high mountain (6)big hands - சில Adjectives மனிதன் அல்லது பொருட்களின் quality பற்றி கூறுகிறது. (Some adjectives tell what people or things are like by describing their quality.)

(4)a poor family (5)a kind lady (6)a cold winter - சில Adjectives பொருட்கள் எதனால் ஆனது என்பதை பற்றி சொல்கிறது. அது substances ஆகும் (Some adjectives tell what things are made of. They refer to substances.)

(4) a metal box (5)a glass door (6) a silk dress - சில Adjectives இடங்களை வைத்து பொருட்களை அல்லது மக்களை கூறும். அது adjectives of origin எனப்படும் (Some adjectives are made from proper nouns of place. These adjectives are called adjectives of origin.)

The Order of Adjectives
- சில நேரம் ஒரு noun அல்லது pronoun பற்றி சொல்ல 2 அல்லது 3 Adjectives use ஆகும். அப்போது Adjectives i "size, quality, color,origin, substance" என்ற order ல் போடவும்

quality color origin
Commonly Used Adjectives:
- மக்கள், இடங்கள் ,பொருட்கள் இவற்றுடன் பொதுவாக பேச்சு வழக்கில் use ஆகும் Adjectives கீழே உள்ள Table ல் உள்ளது. இதை 2 அல்லது 3 தரம் படித்து பேசும் போது use பண்ணி பழகவும்.
